DMC’s Newest Learning Places: The Fabrication Underground + Design Labs 1 & 2 |
Description: The Design Labs are brand new collaborative learning classrooms in the heart of the Duderstadt Center, featuring technologies that promote interdisciplinary showcasing, sketching and prototyping. The Fabrication Underground, located on the lower level, is an expanded version of the former Fabrication Studio, with more resources for classes, more specialty 3D printers, and more general fabrication tools. Description: Come explore how to use advanced classroom equipment to elevate the learning experience for both in-person and remote students. This Nexus tour will feature HD quality A/V, seamless Zoom integration, and recordable content capabilities, as well as showcase how to support live event streaming that allows individuals worldwide to access university events. We will also demo innovative lightboard technology and connectivity to wall screens. Overall, this Nexus tour aims to provide a comprehensive look into the future of engineering education, focusing on the technology-driven learning experience offered to both students and instructors at the University of Michigan.
